Shot 300 pictures and 120 or so video clips in Laken today. The place was packed with more neighbors of ours (Germans, Dutch, French) than it was with our own Belgians. Once a year every spring the gardens become accessible to commoners for a glimpse of the flowers and plants that entertain our Royals in their boring days. Wasn't bad. Not bad at all! On the contrary... King Leopold did his best to dress the capital 100 or so years ago with monuments of all sorts. Those gardens were one of them. Come and visit if you happen to be in the capital in spring.
